About ParaQuad Tasmania Inc.

The ParaQuad Association was founded in February 1990 to assist and encourage paraplegics and quadriplegics in their endeavours to once more become an integral part of their community.

Since that time we have developed into a viable organisation based in Tasmania providing services to our members.

ParaQuad Tasmania’s Vision

To improve the quality of life of all people with a physical disability in Tasmania by providing the following comprehensive services:

  • Lobbying governments on issues pertaining to spinal cord injury and related physical disabilities
  • SpineSafe Program available to schools and the general community

Projects during the past 15 years

  • C.H.O.I.C.E. Online which was funded through Federal Government to provide people with disabilities in Tasmania with computers and access to the internet.
  • Mentoring Kit – 5 booklet kit
  • Ways to Work – Report on people with spinal cord injuries and employment or tertiary education issues
  • Wheelie Good Guide – guide to accessible accommodation and venues in Tasmania
